BComm Peer Academic Support (PAS) Program

Fall 2026 Schedule - Coming September 2026
What is the PAS Program?

The BComm Peer Academic Support (PAS) Program supports students through free student-run study sessions for specific BComm courses. The PAS Program offers weekly sessions where students can receive guidance and support throughout the term. All students are welcome to attend PAS sessions to get free academic support and extra help in their BComm courses and learn from upper-year students who have excelled in the same courses.

What courses can I get help in?

The PAS Program Provides extra help in the following courses:

  • ACCT 2241 - Introductory Financial Accounting
  • ACCT 2242 - Introductory Managerial Accounting
  • ECON 1201 - Principles of Microeconomics
  • ECON 1202 - Principles of Macroeconomics
  • FINA 2360 - Business Finance I
  • FINA 3361 - Business Finance II
  • MGSC 1205 - Quantitative Methods I
  • MGSC 2207 - Introductory Statistics
  • MISA 1225 - Introduction to Computer Applications
  • ACCT+ Session

Who runs the extra help sessions?

Other BComm students run the sessions in the PAS program. These student leaders are called Peer Academic Leaders or PALs. PALs run the sessions each week for the PAS program. PALs are other students like you who understand what it's like to be a student in the BComm program and help you succeed in your courses. Peer Academic Leaders do not re-teach or lecture.  PALs help students learn study habits and how to study in the course. PALs also encourages student success by connecting with other students in the BComm program, learning good study habits and learning important skills to help with your success in the BComm program.
